The Washington Post Reports: Sondland acknowledges Ukraine quid pro quo, implicates Trump, Pence, Pompeo and others
On Wednesday during the impeachment inquiry, Ambassador Sonland linked Trump, Pence, and other White House officials to quid pro quo.
“I know that members of this committee frequently frame these complicated issues in the form of a simple question: Was there a ‘quid pro quo’?” Sondland said. “. . . With regard to the requested White House call and the White House meeting, the answer is yes.”
Sondland acknowledged that both him and other officials were urging Ukraine to announce investigations into the Biden, they were following "the president's orders," which were given to them by Rudolph Giuliani.
Sondland testified that top-level officials — including Pence, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo — were made aware at various points of what was happening, and he provided emails to back up his assertions.
