Good afternoon. Here are the latest news and updates that our team at Future Majority is tracking.
Another Saturday, another early state primary: here’s the latest from South Carolina polling.
Former Vice President Joe Biden continues to perform well in South Carolina primary polls. He leads a new Emerson poll by 16 points at 41%, followed by Senator Bernie Sanders (25%), Tom Steyer (11%), Pete Buttigieg (11%), Senator Amy Klobuchar (6%), Senator Elizabeth Warren (5%), and Representative Tulsi Gabbard (2%).
Fox News is out with a new poll of the national Democratic primary, and Sanders again holds his position as the frontrunner. He leads the poll with 31%, 13 points ahead of Biden (18%), who is followed by former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg (16%), Buttigieg (12%), Warren (10%), Klobuchar (5%), Steyer (2%), and Gabbard (1%).
New head-to-head polling paints a muddled picture:
The Fox News poll asked voters how they would cast their ballots in a general election, and consistently the Democratic challengers pose a threat to President Trump:
But a Marquette Law School poll finds the race much closer for voters in the critical swing state of Wisconsin:
