President Trump’s Job Approval is 12 points underwater in a new poll:
A new poll from Reuters/Ipsos shows President Trump’s job approval continuing to slide, this time with a 12-point deficit:
- Approve: 42%
- Disapprove: 54%
With respect to Trump’s handling of the coronavirus (COVID-19), 39% of Americans approve of how the president is handling the response to the virus, and 49% do not.
The same poll finds that a majority of Americans believe the country is going in the wrong direction by a 22-point margin:
- Right direction: 33%
- Wrong track: 55%
The top two Democratic contenders for President both hold a slight lead above Trump in general election polls:
An Economist/YouGov poll shows former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders both up four points against Trump when voters were asked how they would vote in the general election in November:
- Biden: 47%, Trump: 43%
- Sanders: 47%, Trump: 43%
