The United States grapples with coronavirus.
Around the country, Americans are entering a new reality to confront the growing threat of coronavirus. Cases in the U.S. have surged past 3,600, states and local governments have taken strong measures to limit public interaction, and the economy continues to tumble.
Despite widespread reports of Trump’s mishandling of the crisis, from refusing test kits from the World Health Organization in the early stages, to calling the pandemic “a hoax,” Trump’s approval rating in a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll is only 5 points down:

Despite coronavirus, primaries for the Democratic Presidential nominee will go on tomorrow in four states.
Former Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders debate each other one-on-one for the first time last night, in a CNN studio in DC, closed off to any audience amidst coronavirus concerns. The two major remaining candidates will face off in primaries in four states tomorrow. Here is where polling stands:
A new Monmouth poll shows Biden leading by 20 points over Sanders:
Biden’s lead in Florida is even more dramatic, where he is up 38 points over Sanders in an Emerson poll:
An Emerson poll out Friday also shows Biden with a comfortable lead in Illinois, up 21 points:
Emerson also surveyed voters in the Buckeye state, where Biden leads by 22 points:
A total of 577 pledged delegates are at stake in tomorrow’s primaries. We will be looking to see how the coronavirus impacts voter turnout, and how states are preparing to mitigate the threat of the virus spreading as voters head to the polls.
