The Democratic primary field has dwindled down to two candidates as Rep. Tulsi Gabbard exited the race yesterday. In a somewhat surprising move, she threw her support behind former Vice President Joe Biden and not Senator Bernie Sanders.
Coronavirus has thrown the primary process into flux, with multiple states outright postponing their primaries. But national polling and pledged delegates awarded to date show Biden is well-positioned to secure the nomination. A recent The Hill/HarrisX poll shows Biden leading Sanders by 24 points nationwide:

As the federal government takes aggressive action to combat coronavirus and its impact on the economy, voters have a more positive view of Trump’s handling of the crisis:
A new ABC News/Ipsos poll shows that 55% of American approve of Trump’s handling
of the pandemic, and 43% disapprove. The same question was asked of respondents a week ago, and Trump’s approval was nearly flipped (43% approved, 54% disapproved).
