Despite COVID-19 concerns, the Wisconsin primary is set to go on:
The Wisconsin Democratic Primary will still go on this Tuesday, April 7th, despite growing concerns for voters and poll workers of the threat of COVID-19.
A federal judge ruled that he could not change the date of the primary, but extended the absentee ballot deadline from April 7th to April 13th and ordered Wisconsin to waive their equipment that absentee voters must have a witness sign their ballot.
We’ll be tracking the results in this key state and the impact of the pandemic on in-person and absentee voting. The most recent poll from Marquette Law School shows former Vice President Joe Biden with a commanding lead over Senator Bernie Sanders:
Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic remains split:
A new Navigator daily tracking poll shows the country is divided on Trump’s handling of COVID-19:
- Approve: 48%
- Disapprove: 48%
It’s slightly better than the poll’s finding of his overall job approval:
- Approve: 47%
- Disapprove: 51%
His approval of the way he is handling health care continues to drop, with a majority of Americans disapproving:
- Approve: 42%
- Disapprove: 55%
