Biden leads Trump among women and key constituencies.
The national CNN poll out this week shows former Vice President Joe Biden leading President Trump among women by 30 points:
- Biden: 62%, Trump: 32%
Among white college educated voters, a typical swing constituency, Biden is leading by 27 points:
- Biden: 62%, Trump: 35%
Overall in the CNN poll, Biden is up against Trump by 11 points:
In a new Monmouth poll, Biden’s lead over Trump is narrow:
The Monmouth poll out yesterday shows Biden with a four-point lead over Trump among registered voters nationally:
The poll also found that Trump’s favorability is net negative (42% favorable, 50% unfavorable), while Biden’s is essentially even (41% favorable, 42% unfavorable).
Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic remains under water, and tracks closely with his overall approval:
For the second week in a row, Trump’s approval for his handling of the public health crisis in the U.S. is a few points under water in several national polls:
Additionally, the Monmouth poll finds that 31% of voters say Trump’s handling of the crisis will make it less likely he will win reelection in November, while 27% say his response has made it more likely he will win. But a plurality (36%) say his response will make no difference in the election.
