Let’s get to 100!
While millions of Americans have the dream of starting a family, the cost of childcare often becomes too much of a burden. Childcare has become wildly expensive and unaffordable for many families.
According to the Center for American Progress, as of 2018, the average cost to provide center-based child care for an infant in the United States is $1,230 per month. In a family child care home, the average cost is $800 per month. Americans also have to set aside, on average, 18% of their income to cover the cost of childcare for an infant, and 13% for a toddler.
Childcare shouldn't be a burden. Americans deserve the freedom to raise a family.
We need to provide universal and affordable childcare for every family. Sign the petition to help families across the country!
