CNN: White House turns on Fauci as disaster grows out of aggressive state openings
Tell us what you think!
Dr. Anthony Fauci, known as one of the nation's most respected doctors, has recently spoken out on numerous occasions on how bad the COVID-19 pandemic has gotten. He's worked with numerous Presidents and has played a huge part in eliminating previous health threats. The truth is -- he is very, very experienced and knows what he is doing:
Instead of focusing on the out-of-control coronavirus disaster in Florida and other early opening states, the White House is trying to destroy the reputation of one of America's most respected public servants, Dr. Anthony Fauci, for telling the truth about how bad things are getting.
President Donald Trump is meanwhile highlighting claims that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, doctors, media and the Democrats are lying about the country's pandemic -- the world's worst -- in order to crush the economy on which he is relying for reelection.
Clearly, this is #CorruptTrump's normal. It's no surprise that we know President Trump lives in a bubble where he always believes he is right. And when anyone disagrees, he will stop at nothing to ruin their reputation.
Meanwhile, Dr. Fauci has continued to make decisions based on science and research:
Fauci's positions have evolved with the science -- including his stance on masks, which he initially said weren't proven to be beneficial in everyday life and should be reserved for health care workers. The White House apparently sees no irony in attacking his track record when the President spent weeks denying the virus would be a problem, praising China for its handling of it and predicting a "miracle" that would cause it to disappear.
Donald Trump's handling of COVID-19 are purely political while Americans are dying and cases are skyrocketing and instead of listening to one of the nation's most talented doctors, Trump would rather play politics rather than listen to science.
We all know Dr. Fauci is correct. But also we know Trump does not care.
