Contact your lawmakers now and help save the USPS.
With cuts to USPS funding and displacing necessary top executives, Americans' ability to receive important mail and vote in the upcoming election is on the line.
Our access to effective and efficient mailing services is on the line. Most recently, 23 United States Postal Service executives were displaced or reassigned late Friday night, putting institutional knowledge of the postal service at risk. Workers are already dealing with massive delays, budget cuts, and the threat of losing their jobs. This unnecessary personnel shuffle has only exacerbated the situation.
The chaos in the postal service is rather timely, considering Americans are depending on voting by mail in the November election as a safe and healthy option to exercise our voting rights in the midst of COVID-19. Changes could lead to undermining absentee voting and may even lead to uncounted ballots.
We need to save the USPS before Americans' access to mail services is put even more at risk.
Americans need the USPS to:
- Get mail on time, including paychecks and medications
- Receive benefits that are keeping families afloat during this economic crisis
- Vote by mail
The USPS was established in the Constitution but service is now on the line with 600,000 American jobs at risk. We need your help to protect the U.S. Postal Service. Call your lawmakers NOW.
